This was a follow-up visit for the skin cancer that was removed 12 days ago. Everything went smoothly. I was seen 5 minutes after I arrived, my stitches were removed quickly and easily, all my questions were answered, and it was easy to schedule a check-up in several months. Dr. Callendar and her staff are very professional and helpful!
Today was my first visit to the California Skin Institute, and the dermatologist I saw was Dr. Patricia Cavender who was terrific. Having recently moved to the area from Virginia, I needed to find all new Doctors which can be quite overwhelming. As there is a family history of skin cancer and having had a squamous cell carcinoma myself, it was important to me to not only find an excellent dermatologist, but one who also took my insurance. Dr. Cavender was very thorough and explained every step throughout the exam. I would recommend her highly.
